Organic Wines and Nibbles at Whole Foods

Just got back from meeting with Sterling, the wine clerk at the New Whole Foods in Scottsdale, and all I can say is WOW! I could live here forever!! The place is HUGE, with a fully-stocked wine area, multiple islands of prepared foods, and aisle upon aisle of specialty items.

For our group, they are putting together a tasting of 5 organic wines along with small bites to pair with them. (NOTE: This is not lunch, but you could easily grab one of the myriad prepared dishes and another glass afterwards!) Wines include a white, 3 reds, and a dessert offering from France, Chile, and California, and Sterling will discuss organic wine production. All wines are available for purchase and range in price from $11-24/btl. Tasting fee is $7, payable at the store that day. So, save your grocery shopping for late Saturday morning and join your fellow wineophiles for a sip and a bite. If you are a foodie like me, I guarantee you will LOVE this place!

 

NOTE: This Whole Foods location also hosts regular wine tastings on Wednesdays at 7 pm, as well as other community-related events. You can find their calendar on their website.
